Hosting a Healthy Summertime Party

Almost everyone look forward to summertime and the weather is perfect for hosting outdoor parties.When I was hosted one of my summer parties I did some research to find out how to make it special. I had found that if you provide everyone with fun activities your party can be a hit.

How many times have you gone to a party and everyone is just sitting and eating? Those parties tend to become boring after a while because people usually stuff themselves witch can make them tired.

If you can put out healthier food options that will not weigh your guests down as much your party will most likely last longer and be more entertaining. Salads, veggie platters, smoothies and fresh fruits are a few examples of healthier food choices. You could carve out a watermelon to look like a basket and fill that with the fresh fruit to make it even better. To make your party even healthier serve chicken instead of red meats.

After your guest could feel energized from eating all of your nutritious foods and will probably want to get up and move around. This is where adding fun activities comes into play.


If you are having an outdoor summertime party you could get an inflatable water slide like the Little Tikes Water Slide . This is a great way for all the kids to have fun and stay cool. For the adults you could set up lawn games. One example of a lawn game is a volleyball net. When I was a kid my parents would host cookouts and everyone would have such a great time all playing together on our volleyball net.

Other great lawn games are a bag toss, bocce or crochet. These games are great if you have an older group of guests who can not run or move around easily.

If you can set your party up with fun ideas like these people could be more likely to enjoy themselves more and stay longer. You can also help inspire your guests to throw a healthier party of there own once they see everyone having such a great time.

Getting children active is also very important because childhood obesity is a deadly epidemic that is plaguing many America kids. 1 in every 3 children are either over weight or obese today. Obesity can lead to terrible health complications like heart attacks, strokes and even death. Obesity is a scary thing for any parents or child to have to face.


Throwing a healthy party can help kids discover fin activities that they never knew they enjoyed.You could also be helping the parents to see that they should introduce these fun games into there homes so that the kids can stay fit and healthy. There are so many great reasons why you should make your next get together a healthy one. I hope these few examples of fun ways to make it fun and healthy has helped inspire you.
